1920's Style...Please Come Back

Have you seen Downtown Abbey? If not, immediately shut down your computer, open up OnDemand, cancel any activities for about a week, and get ready to have your mind blown.

Despite the complicated and addicting storyline, dynamic characters and lets face it, dapper British accents, the only other thing that took my breath away (besides the castle, of course) was the downright elegant and unique 1920's style.

Coco Chanel was one of the first pioneers of women's 1920's fashion when she debuted the female suit. Women looked polished and put together while still giving off an unfussed attitude. It was feminine yet daring and all together mysterious.

Another aspect of 1920's fashion that I love is the delicate, loose fitting, soft fabrics most garments possess. They're sexy in a relaxed and flirty way, something I find extremely endearing and nostalgic.

If you're at all obsessed with this fashion as much as I am, or even 1940s and 1950s garments, check out Dear Golden on Etsy.com. She curates beautiful, vintage clothing ready to wear for date night this weekend.

I know, I know...I missed the boat in 2012 when 1920's fashion, loose fits and drop waists were back in, but that's okay. Because to be honest, something this timeless never goes out of style.
